Museum Explorers – Zine Making

August 13 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Did you know a zine can be anything you want it to be — a mini-magazine, a collage book, a journal, or even a pocket-sized comic?

Join us at Witney and District Museum from 10am–1pm on Wednesday 13th August 2025 for a free, family-friendly drop-in workshop where you’ll get the chance to create your very own Witney-themed zine!

Using drawing, collage, and your own stories or ideas, you can:

🖍️ Make a zine all about you – As a Witney person, a friend, a visitor, or a dreamer.
🏘️ Explore the town through art – Create pages about your favourite local places, people, or memories.
📚 Try bookbinding techniques – Watch a live demo of how to make zines with stitching, folding, or no binding at all!
📄 See real zine examples – Get inspired by different styles and formats, and then create something that’s uniquely yours.

No experience needed and all materials are provided. Children and young people under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This is a relaxed, drop-in event – come along any time between 10am and 1pm.

Entry to the museum is free.
Come make something small with big ideas!
